Florida Palm Society
The South Florida Palm Society, chartered in 1982, is a not-for-profit
organization whose mission is to disseminate information, promote
educational programs and research projects, and encourage interest
in and use of palms.
The
East Everglades Orchid Society
Their goal of their society is to educate themselves and the general
public in the classification, evolution and propagation, culture,
care, and development of the cultural and economic importance
of orchids; and to support the conservation of this fascinating
group of plants. Membership is open to anyone who is interested

Florida Orchid Society
The South Florida Orchid Society, Inc., was founded in 1945. An
affiliate of the American Orchid Society, they are not-for-profit
membership cooperation dedicated to the improvement and conservation
of orchids through education and research.

Native Plant Society
The purpose of the Florida Native Plant Society is to promote
the preservation, conservation, and restoration of the native
plants and native plant communities of Florida. The Florida Native
Plant Society operates through our chapters and our state programs
to implement and fulfill our mission.
The
Institute for Regional Conservation
The Institute for Regional Conservation (IRC) is dedicated to
the protection, restoration, and long-term management of biodiversity
on a regional basis, and to the prevention of regional extinctions
of rare plants, animals and ecosystems. Founded in 1984, IRC has
spent the last ten years developing the Floristic Inventory of
South Florida.
